Aleksandr Zabrodin

Product manager for B2B platforms where the value sits in integrations, billing and data. I take an area nobody owns end to end, work out what actually needs building and what does not, and ship it with the team.

If this sounds like your situation

You have an area nobody owns end to end

Seven years in B2B SaaS and EdTech, five of them in product roles, after 12 years running restaurants. That second half matters more than it looks: I sold compliance software to an industry I had worked in from the inside.

What the record shows

Numbers, and where they come from

66.5% → 77%

On-time collection at DocsInbox, counted by invoiced amount: 66.5% to 69% in the first month, 77% over the next quarter.

Wording taken from the company's signed reference letter, June 2026.
11 integrations

Launched or updated with five accounting-system vendors across three product lines, against a registry of 18 systems and their regulatory regimes.

Four teams plus partner engineers, one source of truth for status.
5 weeks

An urgent integration with the state alcohol-tracking system for a POS partner, from start to live, against a fixed industry-festival date.

Scope cut to what the deadline allowed, the rest shipped later.
287 errors

Found in 92 of 177 AI-written meeting summaries from my own pipeline. 191 were speaker misattribution, including a section heading turned into a person.

Audit I ran on my own tool, then fixed it.

Three decisions

Including the ones to build nothing

Collections: the cheaper idea won

Situation
Restaurants paid late, and the finance director wanted a full finance section in the product.
Unclear
Whether late payment was a visibility problem or a habit problem.
Did not build
The finance section. I pushed through a simpler idea from the internal automation team: an in-app banner with the unpaid invoice ready to download, and automatic suspension for non-payers.
Result
Collection moved 66.5% to 69% in the first month and to 77% over the next quarter.

UAE: the recommendation was not to enter

Situation
Expansion to Dubai was on the table, with budget behind it.
Unclear
Whether restaurants there had the problem the product solved.
Did not build
Anything. Discovery showed documents are handled differently and hiring a person is cheaper for a restaurant than paying for the service.
Result
I recommended against entering, and said so to the people who had proposed it. The work went to Kazakhstan instead, where the same discovery came back positive.

An integration with a date that could not move

Situation
A POS partner needed state alcohol-tracking compliance before an industry festival.
Unclear
How much of the integration was genuinely required by the regulator and how much was assumed.
Did not build
The full feature set. I separated what the regulator required from what the partner wanted and shipped the first part only.
Result
Live in about five weeks, in time for the festival. The rest followed later that year.

Tools I built myself

I know where LLMs break before they reach a roadmap

A multi-agent assistant for restaurants, written solo over about ten weeks. A meeting-transcription pipeline with an automated quality check, which is where the 287 errors above came from. An API gateway for AI providers blocked in the region, sized for roughly 300 concurrent students, with cost tracking. Telegram bots, one of which turns survey exports into presentations.

This is working code, not slideware. It also means that when an engineer tells me something is hard, I usually know which part.

Why this page exists

A CV cannot be checked

Anyone can write anything in a CV, and a hiring manager has no way to tell. That is the part this page tries to fix. Every number above says where it came from, the cases carry the kind of detail that is hard to invent, and the reference letter is a signed company document I can send on request.

If a claim here turns out to be unverifiable, I would rather drop it than defend it. Two numbers that used to sit in my CV came out for exactly that reason.

Practical

The questions that usually come first

Location and work rights
Lisbon. Right to work in the EU, no sponsorship needed, no relocation to arrange. Remote or hybrid, European hours.
Availability
Available now, short notice.
What I am looking for
A permanent product role on a B2B platform. Integrations, billing, data, compliance, AI features that have to survive contact with real users.
The restaurant years
Twelve of them, from waiter to general manager, plus consulting. It is why the hospitality software I worked on made sense to me from day one.
Languages
Russian native, English C1, Portuguese A2 and improving.
